Christmas!

We had such a fun Christmas. My parents and brother Jonny were able to come on Christmas eve and spend the night.

One of my favorite Christmas memories is my dad setting a "trap" to catch early risers. Some of them got quite extravagant especially when my younger brothers were teenagers because we would try to out smart Dad. It never worked. But it was fun trying. This year at our house my kids got a taste of being trapped. Above you see Dad rigging the doorbell so that when a special present was tipped, the doorbell rings. (That was for Drew's and Mary's trap.) It was cute and it took them awhile to figure it out. This was for the bigger kids. I don't know who was first to go through it (I'm betting it was Brandon) but they went through it about 4 a.m. They got sent back to bed!
